On this Memorial Day, I would like to share my dad’s life in his own words. This 2006 interview was made as “part of the Library of Congress’ project to document Veterans experiences, Ben Rosman WWII P-47 Pilot was interviewed.”
Please take a few moments to listen to this proud American talk about those who died in service for his country in Part Two at about the three-minute mark. Watch his face and listen to his voice. Even 60-years after the war, those deaths are almost impossible for him to talk about.
My dad is living history and at 89 still is active playing tennis and golf, and will occasionally give a talk to civic groups about his war experiences. I love my dad and honor him for his life and service.
My sister Debbie uploaded the original and I thank her.
