HB 700 is Designed to Hurt Missourians
Please take a few moments to read the summary of 2013 HB 700, as introduced by Rep. Jay Barnes (R-Jefferson City). Take a few more minutes to read the entire bill.
In short, HB 700 would:
- Remove from Missouri HealthNet “any person receiving blind pension benefits and any person deemed eligible due to a diagnosis of breast or cervical cancer;”
- Reduces the eligibility levels for “pregnant women… from 185% of the federal poverty level (FPL) to 133%;”
- Delete the Children’s Health Insurance Plan (CHIP) program by 2019;
- Eliminates the Uninsured Women’s Health Program by 2014…
This list continues.
Take Action Today! Write or call your state representative, Rep. Barnes (Jay.Barnes@house.mo.gov – 573.751-2412) (who just happens to be the Chair of the assigned GOVERNMENT OVERSIGHT AND ACCOUNTABILITY COMMITTEE , Rep.
