Defender Nguyễn Thành Chung has completed a contract extension with Hanoi FC, securing his future with the club until 2030. Having made his first-team debut at the age of 19, Thành Chung has proven himself to be an indispensable figure in the club’s defense over the years.

Thành Chung first rose to prominence in the 2018 and 2019 seasons, when he not only solidified his defensive capabilities but also contributed 5 goals to the team’s efforts. His performances helped Hanoi FC reach the 2019 AFC Cup Intercontinental Final, winning both the V.League and the Vietnam Cup in the same year—an unforgettable milestone in his career. Over the course of 9 years with Hanoi FC, Thành Chung has been instrumental in securing multiple V.League titles (2016, 2018, 2019, 2022) and Vietnam Cup trophies (2019, 2020, 2022).

In the 2024/2025 season, Thành Chung continued to prove his worth with outstanding performances both for Hanoi FC and the Vietnam national team.
